If you have questions or concerns regarding the special education program your child is enrolled in, the Parent Mentor may be able to help. The program offers support and assistance with:

• Kettering School’s special education and inclusion programs.
• understanding IEP’s.
• parents’ rights.
• parent/teacher communication
• child/teacher or child/parent interactions.
• understanding your child’s strengths and weaknesses.
• introducing new families to the special education program.

Inclusion of special needs children in extracurricular activities may be accessed through the following community resources:

• schools

• YMCA
• Wright State University
• Kettering Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department
