- Treat other people the way you want to be treated
- Treat yourself the way you want other people to treat you
- Don’t be a bully—don’t insult people, make fun of them or call them names
- Be courteous and polite to peers, those in authority, and those younger and older than you
- Take care of property, our natural resources and our environment

Responsibility
- Make good choices - be accountable for the choices you make
- Keep your promises and don’t make promises you can’t keep
- Be prepared, work hard and do your best
- Be someone others can count on—reliable and dependable

Citizenship
- Be a good neighbor
- Help your school and community be better, cleaner and safer
- Play by the rules and obey the laws
- Be loyal to your country and respectful of your elected officials
- Be a person who dares to make a difference in your life and the lives of others

Compassion
- Be a giving and caring person.
- Be aware of and respond to the needs of others
- Realize others may not be as fortunate as you
- Put yourself in someone else’s shoes so you can understand their words and actions
- Love others even if you think they don’t deserve it
